Ship deep Gong integrations in days
Gong keeps calls, transcripts, and the users and flows around them behind a partner-only API, and every customer records and organizes calls in their own way. With Ampersand, you can get this integration live for your customers in days.
Build a custom data model to handle
complex configurations
No two Gong accounts are the same. Every customer has their own workspaces, users, and flows, and records a different mix of calls. AI agents need infrastructure that understands Gong at the per-tenant level.
3 / 8 customers
- Customer A: Call (standard), Transcript (standard), User (standard)
- Customer B: Call (standard), Workspace (standard), Flow (standard)
- Customer C: User (standard), Transcript (standard), Workspace (standard)
Enable software and agents to take bi-directional action
With Ampersand, your engineers don’t need to learn Gong’s call, transcript, and webhook APIs. Simply declare the actions you want your agents to take: read, write, subscribe, proxy.
Example. Subscribe: “Send me every new call as soon as Gong has processed it.”
- Your customer’s Gong automation rule sends each new call to Ampersand.
- Call created events arrive once Gong finishes processing each call.
- Ampersand applies this customer’s field mappings.
- Ampersand sends the call to your product.
Ensure your Gong integration is always available
-
Managed auth
Fully offload Gong OAuth. Ampersand stores and refreshes every customer’s tokens for the scopes your Gong app holds.
-
New call webhooks
Hand your customer a ready-made guide and webhook URL, and every new call reaches your product once Gong has processed it.
-
Fixed outgoing IP addresses
Ampersand calls Gong from a published list of IP addresses that you add once to your Gong app’s allowlist.
Not all Gong integrations are created equal
Gong is where revenue teams record and review their customer calls. With Ampersand, your developers can create a best-in-class Gong integration.
The Gong objects your agents can read and write
Ampersand reads Gong calls, transcripts, users, workspaces, and flows, creates calls, meetings, and digital interactions, and subscribes to new calls as Gong finishes processing them.
Write creates new records, and Subscribe covers only new calls. Calls reach Read and Subscribe Actions up to an hour after they end, and transcripts up to 24 hours after. Incremental reads of calls and transcripts are in private preview.
Questions people ask
before they book a demo
-
Which Gong objects can I read and write?
You can read calls, transcripts, users, workspaces, and flows, and you can create calls, meetings, and digital interactions. Transcripts, users, workspaces, and flows are read-only.
-
Can I get real-time updates from Gong?
For new calls, yes. Your customer adds an automation rule in Gong that sends each new call to a webhook URL you give them, and Ampersand delivers the call to your product. Gong can take up to an hour to process a call before it is sent.
-
What do I need before I connect Gong?
A Gong app from the Gong partnership process, with a Gong sandbox for testing. Add Ampersand’s outgoing IP addresses to your app’s allowlist, and include the api:calls:read:extensive scope to read calls.
-
Does Ampersand offer a unified API?
Ampersand doesn’t offer a unified API. It works with Gong’s own objects and fields as each customer sets them up, which differs from how a unified API works. We also give you the primitives to build your own unified data model.
